Event Description: There lives within the subterranean depths of every human soul, an inviolable longing for peace or union. This longing can only be satisfied through a direct encounter with one's true nature, fully and effortlessly expressed, without censorship of any kind. Once heard, this connection with your true Self is stronger than the fear of separateness and death. It is the healing salve that paves the way home to the source of our true Being. Your naked voice activates a wondrous power inside you. I call it “A Universe Singing Inside You.” Here and here alone, you will discover the capacity to access and express your deepest truth spontaneously and courageously. This authentic encounter with your true nature is joyous, graceful and freely given. It awakens within you what the mystics call, the presence, a spacious awareness beyond the confines of your personality and rational mind. Within this presence you remember once again how to embrace and transform your negative emotions into deeper positive feeling. Your naked voice activates a faculty of attention known as the self-observing mind, or witness consciousness. This witness enables you to communicate with yourself and with others, in new and wiser ways, openly and honourably, without reactivity and fear. "Who is singing?" is the central question arising from the universe singing inside you. In the Naked Voice experiential workshops and trainings, we explore a wide range of inner-outer vocal practices. They are like 'sonic formulas' such as sacred mantra, devotional chant, the Seven Sounds of Love (musical chakras), and healing songs inspired by our indigenous and wisdom traditions. These vocal practices are supported by energy movement which enables you to embody your voice, awaken your heart, and strengthen your singing soul. You will find yourself breathing deeper, relaxing, and sounding out in ways that you never imagined possible.
Your Naked Voice is a metaphor of Life, a language of wisdom. This wisdom is older and deeper than the polarity of all conflict. Yet we welcome conflict as our most essential adventure on Earth. Conflict is, after all, the essence of all music. There is no music without conflict. Whether you are in dialogue with yourself; engaged in an intimate conversation with a friend, lover or child; or communicating with an audience of thousands, your naked voice is the spontaneous melody rhythm and essence of your being. It is your birthright. Its language precedes religion, politics and the law. Your naked voice brings a new sound and new communication skills, sourced from ancient sound practices that unlock the wisdom inside you. This wisdom reveals a Universe Singing Inside You. (Chloe Goodchild 2010)
